Liposuction is designed to improve body shape and remove stubborn fat from areas such as the face and neck, upper arms, abdomen, thighs, buttocks, hips, knees, calves, ankles and male breasts. At West Coast Lipo we have helped individuals throughout the United States and Internationally to have a slimmer shape and sleeker body contour with the Tumescent Liposuction Technique.*
Recent studies have shown that tumescent liposuction is one of the safest of all cosmetic surgery procedures. At West Coast Lipo we use the tumescent technique which separates the fat from the muscle layer with a large solution of saline and anesthesia. Once this fluid layer is created, it becomes easy to suction the fat from under the skin using a thin cannula (a thin metal straw) inserted through tiny holes in the skin. For example, in the abdomen, we may use as few as 2 small holes in hidden areas to complete the liposuction.*
Liposuction is a way to change what genetics may have (unfairly) given you in regard to your body’s proportion.
Again, liposuction is one of the safest cosmetic surgeries around. It is done while you are fully awake under local anesthesia. After the procedure you will be able to comfortably walk out of our office and engage in light activity. We have chosen the safest most effective means of fat removal and the latest power assisted machines to make the process simpler and easier.
Laser Liposuction, or Smart Lipo, is a uniquely addition to regular liposuction designed to help easily melt away fat and tighten skin all without the risks of general anesthesia. Most people are able to normal activities within 3-4 days. (Select here to see our Smart Lipo page)
